You might be wondering, "Why the change now?" The primary reason for our transition is a recent policy update from Etsy. Specifically, Etsy is discontinuing its standalone PayPal payment integration for sellers in certain regions, including Sri Lanka, with a full transition planned by August 5th.
As stated in our Etsy shop manager:
"Important update about standalone PayPal and your shop. We're creating a smoother experience by making Etsy Payments the standard way to get paid. After careful consideration, we've made the difficult decision to stop supporting standalone PayPal. Unfortunately, we can't bring Etsy Payments to Sri Lanka right now, so your shop will be closed on August 5."
